Georgia National - June 10th
We had another successful event at Georgia National on Wednesday. There was a short stoppage due to the rain but this has become normal this year on the Miller Tour.
TJ Elgin has continued his awesome play by becoming our first two time winner for 2020. TJ had an amazing one under scratch round with a net two under overall round. TJ seemed to not have a problem playing this tough course for the first time. Even when he did get in trouble he was able to scramble and make par. Chris Howe tied for first with TJ. Chris continues his very consistent play which is expected from the 2019 Tour Champion. Due to the rain both players decided to take it to a scorecard playoff in which TJ came out the winner. It's a shame there could only be one winner with how great both players played.
With the win TJ won the first half season points winner. Please check out our Facebook page for the pictures from the tournament.
Jeff Fell continued to have a great 2020 season with a very strong third place finish. Jeff has become one of our most improved golfers. Mike Butler had a great round himself with a very respectable net 73 and a fourth place finish. Winning closest to the pins were Ian Martin and Mike Butler. Winning the low gross spot was Tommy Lloyd with a gross score of 78.
We want to say thanks to all that made the trip to Mcdonogh and also we want to thank Tommy Lloyd for getting us such a great rate.
Our next event will be on Saturday July 11 at Crystal Falls in Dawsonville, Ga. This is one of the favorite courses of the season and it will be a modified stableford scoring event. You will not want to miss this tournament. Registration will open on Monday for Crystal Falls. This is the first event of the second half.
Please remember the Miller Tour values of Sportsmanship, Competition, Integrity and Honor. These are the foundation of our tour..
